J P Whitter (Water Well Engineers) Ltd is a long established family company engaged as artesian well borers and sinkers in the supply of services in connection with potable water supplies from water supply boreholes and water wells.

We are based in the North West of England, and carry out works in the UK and Europe.

The main areas of work we cover can be found below, however this list is not exhaustive:-

• Sinking of water supply boreholes from 150mm to 1050mm diameter, using various drilling methods - cable tool drilling, rotary drilling air and mud flush, and reverse circulation drilling.
• Well boring contracts undertaken upto £1m.
• Installation of screens in stainless steel and copper, with suitable sand or gravel pack.
• Sales, hire and installation of electric submersible borehole pumps from 1m3/hr - 500m3/hr
• Fabrication of head works and rising mains upto 400mm diameter in mild and stainless steel, and distributors for Wellmaster flexible rising main.
• Bore hole test pumping upto 500m3/hour
• Bore hole rehabilitation and refurbishment works
• CCTV and geologging services
• Hydrogeologists reports and feasibility studies
• Environment Agency abstraction licence applications and renewals
• Consents to drill and test pump boreholes obtained.
• Members of Well Drillers Association
• All works carried out by direct employees and using own equipment
